  • The Truckeee River flows out of Lake Tahoe at Tahoe City and then begins its descent. A wonderful bike trail runs adjacent to the river as far as Squaw Valley: a wonderful ride.
  • This picturesque stand is between Kings Beach and Truckee up the hill from North Star. I imagine it's one of the most photographed locations in the Sierra in the autumn.
  • One of the many scarecrows in Tahoe City.
  • A heavy thunderstorm blew across Lake Tahoe in the late afternoon leaving some wonderful light flowing over the summit of the Sierra and below the cloud deck. I have never seen a brighter rainbow.
  • The autumn sentinal stands guard at the start of the bike trail leading from Tahoe City to Squaw Valley.
